The day began with a presentation about NGA.  This year, we turned 125 years old, so there is a lot of interesting history behind our organization!

The group became members of NGA for the day!!  They performed the daily responsibilities  from beginning to end including: receiving a donation right off of the UPS truck, determining the quality of each item, labeling each item, folding the clothes and finally, sorting them into their designated piles!

After a small tour of NGA Headquarters, we began our Modern-Day In-Gathering! 

 

The Project:  Make blankets to donate to NGA for babies in need this winter.

Everyone did a wonderful job!!  Because of the St. Luke’s  Choir Group, 7 babies will stay warm this winter!  Thank you so much for all of your hard work!  In the three hours that you spent with us, you truly made a significant difference in the lives of 7 families!  Your hard work is appreciated!

We closed the Modern-Day In-Gathering with a song sung by the St. Luke’s Choir Group– It was a pleasure to share the day with such talent!

We are proud to announce that NGA’s first Modern-Day In-Gathering took place on Monday, June 21, 2010 with the St. Lucy’s Choir Group!
